![]() ![]() AMD has massive problems with it and Crossfire creates even more problems = A shitty cocktail. I was just lucky to never see any of them, well I did when I was running AMD's Crossfire. 1 So I just got my new 1920x1080 monitor in and I finally am able to play GTA IV (before I would get 20fps due to CPU bottleneck on my 1024x768). Also the latest addition of Night Shadows can create some hitching I've been told, on some systems it even tanks performance completely.Īs said though, I'm apparently a blessed soul because a lot of people on powerful systems running even lower systems experience a lot of problems. It's the sliders and vehicle density that are the main culprits. This mod was developed for GTA IV patch 1.0.4.0 and later 1.0.7.0/1.0.8.0/EFLC support were added. I know there are articles out there detailing some of this stuff individually, but typicaly they are a few years old and I would like to hear from someone who has done the complete transition recently with the new iCEnhancer 3.0. I spent about 400-500 hours to create and update this mod. My inspiration was the never released iCEnhancer C by icelaglace. Ive already installed some mods: some HD textures, FusionFix, ColAccel (dont know if this one is actually doing something) and iCEnhancer 3.0, and everything works fine and as intended. I got it on Steam so I have/downloaded the Complete Edition. Note that all of these are with the 1.0.4.0 patch, so I didn't enjoy any of the benefits from the rewritten shaders etc. Description: This mod aims to make GTA IV more natural, less dark and more vibrant. After watching the iCEnhancer 4.0 trailer, Ive been interested in playing GTA IV again. ![]() Second setup was an i7 2600k / 580 -> All high, water medium ( Like the look of it better ), Sliders at 50-60 and car density at 25 and I got locked 60.Ĭurrent setup is an i7 3930k / 2 x Titans -> All high, water medium, all sliders at 90 ( Above that and you can get weird hitching ), vehicle density 30 ( I keep it low because anything over that takes a heavy toll on any system, plus I hate jam packed streets ) which nets me a solid 60 and with iCEnhancer 2.1 and AO, still a locked 60. ![]() Takedown request View complete answer on. First setup was a i7 940 / 8800 Ultra -> Mostly highest settings, few medium, sliders at around 20-30 and I got a 40-50FPS. The game has a steady 60 fps performance no matter what happens on screen and loading times are cut by over 60. ![]()
